You may be thinking of buying a home for the very first time but with ridiculous prices and rising interest rates it can seem like now might not be a good time to buy. I want to get your thoughts on a reason why now may be a good time to purchase a home.

The housing market is slowly shifting in the favor of buyers right now. Although prices haven't fallen back to earth yet, buyers now have an opportunity to negotiate a little bit more with sellers.

As a buyer, not only will you now have the time to have that much needed inspection performed, you might also be able to convince the seller to cover the cost of things like closing costs or any repairs that might have come up during the inspection. This could end up saving you thousands of dollars and make the purchase of a home more manageable.

Now there isn't any guarantee at all that every seller will agree to these terms, but the odds are definitely much higher as home sellers are finding that the buying frenzy we saw over the past couple of years is starting to disappear.
