Truliant Promotes Dezarn to Chief Information Officer
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (November 1, 2021) – Truliant Federal Credit Union has promoted Laura Dezarn to the position of chief information officer. Previously, Dezarn was Truliant’s vice president of IT infrastructure and operations.
Dezarn will be responsible for developing the strategic direction for Truliant’s technology landscape, with a goal of providing its member-owners with unique technology solutions that help them achieve their financial goals. She reports to Truliant President and CEO Todd Hall.
In her new role, Dezarn will be responsible for Enterprise Service Delivery, Application Engineering and Development, Enterprise Architecture, IT Infrastructure and Operations, Information Security, IT Support Services, IT Service Desk, Telecom and Disaster Recovery.
“Laura’s technology-services experience spans a wide range of industries,” Truliant’s Hall said. “Since joining Truliant in 2018, Laura and her team have made significant improvements to many of our IT and critical-operation features inside our digital infrastructure. Her guiding principle is that all problems and issues can be solved; she evaluates potential solutions until she finds a winning recipe.”
Dezarn has built high performing teams at Truliant and led enterprise-wide initiatives to strengthen cybersecurity and data center resiliency, enable voice channel self-service, and to introduce and expand telecommuting through video conferencing.
Since 2010, Dezarn has served as the executive chapter advisor of the Wake Forest University chapter of Alpha Delta Pi. Dezarn is currently participating in Leadership Winston-Salem with the class of 2021-22. She began serving on the Piedmont Triad Advisory Council of the Ronald McDonald House in 2016, and will become a board member of the organization in 2022.
Dezarn has a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Appalachian State University and an MBA from Wake Forest University.
