Truliant Matching Donations to Western N.C. for Helene Relief
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (Dec. 4, 2024)— As the cold weather months set in, Truliant is making Hurricane Helene relief efforts go even further by matching donations made to the Truliant Foundation through the end of the year.
For every gift donated to the Truliant Foundation between now and December 31, Truliant will match up to $50,000 for hurricane relief, supporting Goodwill Industries of Northwest North Carolina.
Truliant's donation will fund pre-paid gift cards for Goodwill's Good Neighbor Program, which provides gift cards to those needing help during a crisis. The program will distribute cards to families at relief hubs in Watauga, Henderson, and Buncombe counties.
“This is a great opportunity to double your impact during the holidays to keep families safe and comfortable,” said Atticus Simpson, executive director of the Truliant Foundation. “Critical needs still exist for essential cold-weather items like coats, blankets, gloves, hand warmers, and some affected families will need generators, gas, and propane to stay warm.”
In response to Hurricane Helene's devastation, the Truliant Foundation, in partnership with Truliant Federal Credit Union, has dedicated more than $100,000 to relief and recovery efforts in hard-hit areas. Its efforts include providing water and other essentials, financial and other employee support, and hardship assistance in FEMA-designated areas.
