Truliant Promotes Whisler to Vice President of Treasury
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (November 23, 2021) – Truliant Federal Credit Union has promoted Benjamin J. ‘B.J.’ Whisler to the role of vice president of treasury. He will join the senior management team. Whisler previously was Truliant’s treasurer.
He leads Truliant’s Treasury Department and chairs its asset and liability committee. In addition to managing Truliant’s investment securities portfolio, Whisler provides expertise in market risk evaluations, corporate liquidity and funding, pricing strategy, and capital planning. He reports to Chief Financial Officer Cosby Davis.
“B.J. is a valued contributor to our leadership team, providing guidance and demonstrating his financial acumen with our investment portfolio, corporate finance and risk management,” Davis said. “We look forward to his increased involvement in creating value for our member-owners through prudent financial management as we grow.”
Since joining Truliant, Whisler has built and managed its $450 million investment portfolio, guided Truliant through the National Credit Union Association’s 2020 capital markets exam, and helped in the development of new products that enhance the banking experience for Truliant member-owners.
Whisler has a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering and an MBA, both from Duke University.
